The Alexandria Port Authority welcomed two cruise ships, the Aroya and the Regent Seven Seas Grandeur, in early June. Officials from various governmental entities were present for the occasion. The Regent Seven Seas Grandeur docked in Alexandria after visiting Kusadasi, while the Aroya brought 2,063 passengers and marked the beginning of its regular summer visits. Nearly 275 local guests boarded the Aroya for a seven-night cruise to Turkey. The Aroya is scheduled for ten visits to Alexandria in 2026, with eight involving interporting operations for Egyptian guests. Additionally, Alexandria will host ships from several cruise lines throughout 2026, including MSC
Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and others, with the MSC Lirica set to make six visits from October to December.
